We founded FiveminutesFivedollars with the idea of making activism more accessible to busy young professionals and students. As grad students ourselves, dismayed by the negativity of the 2016 election, we wanted a way to make a difference, yet were unsure of what organizations to support and what steps to take.
FiveminutesFivedollars is intended to help people take action. By curating important news items, sending out links to charities or political organizations, and ways to get involved, we hope to involve more people in the progress of making change. We intend to provide people with concrete steps that don't require much time or money, and yet make meaningful change for vulnerable people and institutions in the United States.
